Eagles Of Death Metal Abra Moore Droid Keak Da Sneak
The Trials of Darryl Hunt Soundtrack South A Tribute to Waylon Jennings Reeve Oliver

From the hardest hardcore to the dreamiest dream-pop, an ode to an outlaw and a hosanna to hyphy, jock-rock and pop-rock and music for justice, we've got you covered on new albums.

Whether you're achin' for -- okay, okay, enough from us. Get on to the music!

Eagles Of Death Metal

Eagles Of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal, featuring members of Queens of The Stone Age, has gained quite a serious cult following over the past few years. But don't dismiss them as a mere side project; this band was in the works long before QOTSA hit it big. The band began with the high school friendship of QOTSA frontman Josh Homme (who plays drums in EODM and goes by the alias Carlo Von Sexron) and Jesse Hughes (on lead vocals and guitar), and has been picking up steam ever since their debut. Urb Magazine calls Death By Sexy "a classic rock-influenced masterpiece of horny fun."

Abra Moore

Abra Moore

Abra Moore has come a long way since she first set out on her own, singing jazz standards on the streets and in the cafes of France and Italy. After paying her dues, Moore caught a break, landing a spot on The Lilith Fair tour, and later opening for Matchbox 20, Collective Soul, and Barenaked Ladies. Her song "Four Leaf Clover" gained exposure on MTV, VH1, and mainstream radio, eventually earning her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. On The Way is a breezy, whispery, relaxing collection of songs that Moore calls a "gentle sway of an album."

Droid

Droid

With a nomination for Video of the Year on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball, and an opening spot on Korn's Family Values Tour, Droid's unforgiving style of hardcore metal is grabbing serious attention. Ruin Magazine calls their album "a bludgeoning aesthetic that pummels, punishes, and pushes the boundaries of heavy metal," and the band describes itself as "a brick wall coming at you 100 miles per hour." Not for the faint of ear.

Keak Da Sneak

Keak Da Sneak

A pioneer of the Bay Area's hyphy movement, Keak Da Sneak has racked up many accomplishments, including features on MTV, BET, The Source and Rolling Stone, as well as collaborations with Juvenile, Lil Jon and E-40. Keak has also accomplished much for his community, running an after-school program for youth focusing on music careers and entrepreneurship. Greatest Hits features the hyphy classic "Super Hyphy" and other Bay Area hits from this influential artist and entrepreneur.

The Trials of Darryl Hunt Soundtrack

HBO's award-winning documentary follows the story of Darryl Hunt, who was imprisoned nearly 20 years for a crime he did not commit and whose case brought national attention to the issue of racism in the judicial system. The documentary's soundtrack is a benefit compilation for the Darryl Hunt Project for Freedom and Justice, and features M. Ward, Andrew Bird, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and original scoring by Paul Brill.

South

South

After a wildly successful US tour supporting The Strokes, these "chameleons of pop" have released this career-spanning collection that includes new versions of their biggest hits, two exclusive tracks, and their excellent cover of "Bizarre Love Triangle" -- favorably endorsed by New Order themselves! South has been featured on the soundtracks for the O.C., Six Feet Under, and the Oscar-nominated film Sexy Beast.

A Tribute to Waylon Jennings

When was the last time you saw Norah Jones and Henry Rollins on the same album? This tribute to Country Music Hall of Fame member Waylon Jennings approaches his songs from all directions -- from the punk rock of John Doe and Henry Rollins to the Waylon-esque vocals of Junior Brown and a lovely interpretation by Norah Jones. This collection holds in high regard a man who never liked to sing his own praises: "Hell, I ain't no great guitar player."

Reeve Oliver

Reeve Oliver

San Diego-based Reeve Oliver is a pop-rock powerhouse. With hints of Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Three Doors Down, and Weezer, Touchtone Inferno is full of energetic, catchy melodies, heavy guitars, and seamless production. Self-described as "the sonic equivalent of a double double with fries," Reeve Oliver's lush sounds will satisfy the hungriest of listeners.
