August 30th, 2007
Mia Riddle and Her Band)

Brooklyn, NY based indie-folksters Mia Riddle and Her Band recently made their Amie Street debut with

as well as an exclusive track from their yet to be released album, . In the short time that they've been on the site, their music has been buzzing like crazy! One reason could be that they worked with Au Revoir Simone's producer, Rod Sherwood. Another reason could be that they are a talented group with songs that will charm even the toughest of critics. LVHRD Magazine called Mia Riddle and Her Band "a standout act with a bright future... stars in the making" and The Owl Mag raved that the band is "...both charming and remarkably intellectual...as good as it gets." But don't just listen to these music writers (myself included), check out what these Amie Street users had to say:

Key Tracks:

Play Button Too Late (

)

"You get the feeling that Mia is pointing her finger at you. She does a great job in conveying that feeling with her singing and the Tango-esque influences in the song. I just wish it were longer" [rec by parasight]

Play Button Grandchildren (

)

"Makes me feel nostalgic, even though I don't have grandchildren. Good things often do come in small packages, and if it is a brief trip to bliss you're looking for, get this song." [rec by Tamzara]

Play Button Tigers (

)

"This track has quickly ascended to my appreciation list; the rhythm and lyrical play make me wish for the inside of a pop-up book." [rec by curtismunch]

Play Button Tender (

)

"this slow song is a change of pace for the album, but a great song to twist up with your lover on..." [rec by roguepuppet]
