. Singer/guitarist Curt Kirkwood had this to say about the record:

I like it a ton. I like it more than a lot of things I have percentage wise... This time, song-to-song, all the renditions suit me. That's because it's an independent record and nobody said a word about it. I was able to spend an extravagant amount of money; I spent 5 million dollars on it...it cost me 5 million dollars and it took me 30 years to record. [from Stereogum]
