A Young Soul Legend in the Making
Amie Street has been a different place ever since Eli "Paperboy" Reed and the True Loves dropped in on the scene with their old school brand of soul and funk. In 2005, Eli and co. were winners of Best R&B act in the WFNX/ Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll and were nominated for Best Blues Act at the Boston Music Awards the following year. The band is currently in the middle of their month-long residency at Magnetic Fields in Brooklyn, NY. If you can't make it out to any of those shows, you're in luck -- they've got a ton of music on Amie Street!

More soul powa from EPR -- a brass led jam with big vocals throughout. Sounds like Sam & Dave or a missing track from the Commitments soundtrack. Excellent stuff . . ." [rec by AdamP]
Holy soulbrothers batman, the first four songs were just a teaser. If you have not already discovered Eli 'Paperboy' Brown's classic RnB/Blues sound get ready for a huge treat. If you already know and love him, do a happy dance... here is a whole album of 12 songs for you. Oh Happy Day!" [rec by roguepuppet]
