Joe Koch over at Fig & Mint tipped us off to Findlay Brown, a former bare-knuckle boxer from Yorkshire, England who got a big break when he was featured in a Mastercard commercial a while back. (You've probably seen it.)

With the sophomore album soon to be released, Joe writes that Findlay Brown's music has progressed to "a more ambitious – and soulful – place... influenced as much by Phil Spector and Ennio Morricone as by Roy Orbison or The Beatles."
