Thomas Boissy

Thomas Boissy has been a star in waiting ever since he moved to Paris to begin his career in the late 1990s. It wasn’t long before he became a regular on TV shows including ‘Les Annees Tubes’ and performed in a number of musicals at the world famous Folies Bergeres. He was also the lead singer in the Paris based ‘Improsession’show which toured nationally.

For his first album “Quelque Chose Dans L’Air” (‘Something In The Air’) Thomas chose Ralph Salmins as producer, and the album was recorded and mixed at Ralph’s own ‘Bunker’ studio to the north of London. Ralph is one of the most in demand drummers in the world and assembled an all-star cast of some of the UK’s finest musicians including bassist Trevor Barry (Jon Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams) and keyboardist/arranger Pete Murray (Leona Lewis, Dave Gilmour). The results were mixed by engineer/producer John Gallen (Queen, Simply Red) and mastered by Dick Beetham at 360 Mastering. The complete recording budget for the album was raised via the SellaBand website and community.

The album is a potent mix of French rock songs and ballads that were all written by Thomas. The content and lyrics are inspired by personal experiences and the depth of feeling of the repertoire makes the album stand out from current French releases. The sound is contemporary rock and pop and Thomas’s excellent vocals are matched by the incredible musicianship to create a special album that is both accessible and satisfying.

With a music video for opening track ‘Elle s’ennuie’ already made plus radio and promotional plans for France now being planned, it won’t be long before Thomas Boissy realizes his ambitions of becoming one of France’s major recording and performing artists. But his ambitions are not restricted to one territory - he has recorded an English vocal on ‘Elle s’ennuie’ entitled ‘I Promised You’ which will be used to target airplay and reviews internationally.
