Hitman & The General's BioHitman & The General were both born on the island of Aruba. At a very young age they were both aware of the fact that music was an important element in their lives. The General being half Arubian half Surinam and Hitman being half Arubian half Trinidadian, along with the influences growing up on Aruba, led to a diverse range of musical knowledge. In 1996 Hitman & The General became friends while attending the same high school (Colegio Arubano). After graduating high school, they left Aruba to continue studying in the Netherlands. Residing in the multi-cultural city of Rotterdam, they’ve decided to take a more serious approach to creating their own music in different genres. They are currently working on Rap, Dancehall, Reggaeton and Zouk/Kadans. Hitman, who produces the beats, raps in English, Dutch and mostly Papiamento. The General raps mostly in English, and as a piano and guitar-player also composes. Their first official single was an English/Papiamento Reggaeton “Do That”, which made it's way into various nightclubs in the Netherlands. Some of their radio hits include "Ami Cubo So", "Ta Nos Aruba" (dedicated to their native island Aruba), and the reggaeton smash "For Your Love", which was the lead single of their Digital Album "Rough Blend vol. 1". The album also features a zouk remix of this track. Hitman & The General are currently working on new material as well as solo projects. Band Members
