If you like Stéphane Grappelli, you're sure to like this. Ben McClelland is a fine, fine violinist / fiddle player.

This title song is a sweet ballad that hearkens back to Ben's previous album, Like the Monsters (which is also a must-hear, by the way). Though it departs from the folky bluegrass elements of other songs on Glasgow Ferry, it fits into the theme of roots-based music, and adds a melancholic touch (especially with the ferry's lonesome foghorn sound).

The versatility of Ben McClelland is amazing. His bluegrass-y jazz chops are right on... along with the other band members.

This is a rowsin' and rockin' rendition of an old classic. If you like bluegrass and roots music, you'll be stompin' your boots from the first measure. Yee haw!

I almost see a train oozing away in the garden with flowerful orange trees. I love the violin, I love the pictures I see when I hear the music. I like it :-)
