Adjoa Skinner has the ability to be deeply moving and funny at the same time. This is authentic, personal, soulful jazz-pop. Excellent songwriting, great piano, and especially beautiful singing. Best of all, it's supremely real. One gets a sense of the singer's character, her inner life, and her everyday perspective on things. In a world full of abbreviated, 2-dimensional shallowness, Adjoa Skinner is here, now, and in the flesh; live and beautiful.
