The lyrics are fresh and fun and Lara voice is wonderfully soulful. Nicely done!

Honestly, this LP is so good throughout. But it's the ballads, like this one with only acoustic accompaniment, that really grab you and make you listen and /feel/ the story

I wish I'd met her 20 years ago and wish had a cigarette for the first time in a long while since quitting after listening to these lyrics, sung perfectly, like a melancholy memory being made.

This great stuff. Alt country slash folk rock with nice jazzy percussion and wonderful voice. Lara is one of those who sings without effort and then gets throaty when belting it out. Very nice.

Excellent album in the vein of Martha Wainwright, Elan and Thea Gilmore - great music and an edge to it, too. This track is a good example.
