We Were Pirates is Michael Boggs. Armed with an electric guitar, a casio keyboard, a sparse drum kit, and a laptop, he crafts annoyingly catchy yet simple pop songs. Subject matter ranges from really fun parties and the cruelty of love to self-imposed isolation and geographical dissatisfaction. We Were Pirates recently released a five-song ep entitled, "The Wolf." The entire ep was written, performed, recorded, and produced by Boggs in his bedroom on his trusty iBook G4.
