Rei Touei's Bio
Created in 1998 by two fellow sound production faculty students, Rei Touei was at first an experimental music project. It was in 1999 that the band found its singer and recorded its first album "Girlish".
Rei's particular sound drew attention of California based Cleopatra Records who proposed them to participate in a tribute album to Tori Amos. "Songs of a Goddess" was released in 2001, where the band performed their rendition of Ms. Amos' "Sugar" (as "Rei Toei"). Gone through lots of changes and graced by the numerous participations of the musicians with various musical backgrounds in 2005 Rei Touei have recorded their new, darker, yet filled with hope EP "Aurore".
