Since the time dep got his first computer (at 12) he has been working with electronic music. Creating something new and sharing it with others has always been a passion, his first love being electronic music. For a period of about 5 years between 2000 and 2004, dep spent his time writing scores for orchestral instruments. He was a great admirer of classical and film composers and drew a lot of inspiration from them. Dep was fascinated with how much of a part music played in the overall emotional impact of a film.

He also spent a few years focusing on a more singer/songwriter style of music. It was mainly just piano with vocals -- sometimes bringing in some more experimental elements and layers. He found a personal gratification with this, performing in small venues across the NC area.

As dep has gotten older, he finds himself drawn more and more into his first love: electronic music. Through the cracks of experimentation, he would always come back to the electronic pieces, describing it as a "fantastically diverse genre with so much room to explore" all of the musical ideas he loves. His music has evolved in to an electronically experimental and orchestrally rooted creature that could be both ambient and subdued -- often minimal -- as well as lush, sweeping, and intricately layered.

dep had a track that was featured on the Myuzyk Netlabel (myuzyk.net) as part of a compilation that was released earlier this year. The album, "Inspired By Boards Of Canada :
A Few New Tunes" was a collection of tracks from various independent electronic producers paying homage to Boards of Canada through their own pieces.

Other self-released albums include 2002's "DroneTalk," an experimental musical commentary on Corporate America, 2006's "Urban Adaptation," and in 2007 alone, two ambient albums titled "As the Moon Falls," and "From a Sunday" respectively, as well as the more glitchy "An Electronic Misnomer," written fresh on the heels of "nothing to undo : nothing to redo."
